Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu is a manga by Haruko Kumota which has been turned into 2 OVAs and a critically acclaimed anime series. The anime started airing on January 8th, 2016.

Sukeroku Futatabi-hen
Due to the enormous reception of the anime, there is a second season called Sukeroku Futatabi-hen which adapts the 3rd story arc. Please add information from the existing episodes and manga to ensure the wiki is up to date.

Featured Character
Yotaro Yurakutei is the protagonist of the series, an ex-con who takes up rakugo after being inspired by the 8th Yakumo Yurakutei. He is referred to as "Kyoji" by his boss.
